Held in the hearland of France since 1923, it is one of the most prestigious and challenging races in the world and has been known as the "Grand Prix of Endurance and Efficiency". The Event only takes place once every year, with teams travelling from around the globe to claim victory in what is a vast and rich heritage of motorsports finest cars and teams. This will be CFEG's longest ever event, spanning an entire 12 hours of adrenaline filled racing against some very competitive opponents. The LMP2 field received an update in 2017 with the FIA introducing a new set of regulations which will be locked in through 2020. The regulations aimed at decreasing the overal cost of the category, while aiming to significantly increase power of around 150 Horsepower. (which is expected to lead to a four-second decrease in lap time at Le Mans). Gibson Technology is the exclusive engine supplier, producing a four-litre normally-aspirated V8.
Dallara, Onroak Automotive (Ligier), Oreca and the joint-venture Riley Tech/Multimatic were selected by FIA as the four exclusive chassis constructors, which must be closed-cockpit designs.
For our particular event, the open cockipit cars will still be available to use, but it has to be said that the newly designed ligier and oreca cars are very pleasant on the eyes. Their modern chassis and aerodynamic curves make them an imposing presence on any race track,nevermind Le Mans.

The LMP3 Category was introduced to explore and expand the Endurance racing world in 2015. It is designed as the Junior Sports-Prototype, acting as the base plate of the pyramid which eventually leads to LMP1.
The thinking behind this car is that there should be fewest number of constraints possible, whether those are budgetary, technical, driving or operation. The sale price of the new car, complete, must not exceed €206,000.
The LMP3 is a closed car. The chassis and bodywork of LMP3 can be built by six manufacturers which have been designed by Ginetta, Ligier, Adess, Dome, Riley and Norma. They are very close to those of the current LMP2 (closed cockpit, carbon chassis with tubular steel roll cage). The powertrain consist of a Nissan 420 bhp normally aspirated V8 engine, and an X-Trac gearbox. It is identical for all chassis, and marketed by the ORECA company which also provides specific assistance to teams.
To emphasise the driver development of the category, crews must include at least one bronze driver, gold drivers are only allowed in crews of three drivers and platinum drivers are not permitted to compete in LMP3. For our event though, we welcome anyone who wants to try their luck in a prototype car. LMP2 is a nasty animal at times, making the LMP3 class an attrative alternative to all those who arent alien or experienced enough in an event such as the 12 Heurs Du Mans.

Grand Touring cars are bread and butter of Endurance racing. For a GTE car to be recognised under regulations, it must be based on a production road car, of which 100 examples have been built. The "race" version must keep the same chassis/shape of the road going model. Other factors such as the engine, must also remain the the same position. Some of the biggest names have all claimed the title at Le Mans, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Ford, Corvette and more. The cars that compete here are the most updated and technically advanced GT machines on earth. Each year it appears someone else has the advantage. With Aston martin claiming the most recent title in 2017.
To drive a GT at Le Mans is a special experience, whether its on a sim or in real life, the track, along with the car will create an atmosphere unlike any other.
