WSCC - 3 Hours of Bahrain takes place!

January 15, 2018

It was a tough race on Saturday at Bahrain as round 4 of the World Sports Car Challenge on RFactor2 went ahead. The 3 hour night race presented a great challenge for both the LMP2 + GT3 cars as they fought their way to the front of the pack.

After the Green flag dropped it was Exiled motorsport, Max Grip Endurance and Rapid Racing who led the way as the three teams could not be seperated for the first 2 hours of the race, Pit stops, driver changes and traffic management saw them all take the lead of the race at one point or another, it truly was insane to watch. However it would be Max grip endurance who would take victory despite suffering minor damage after the three teams went three wide into turn 1!

In GT3 it would be the #07 BMW from SimRacing Poland Team who took victory after fighting with the #36 Camaro of Morabia ST in the first hour of the race. Further battles occured down the field, with WM Motorsport, Team RSI and others fighting for 2nd in class. It would be team RSI who were able to battle their way to the front of the field using tactics and outright combined speed with Alessio Feletto and Daniele Vidimari behind the wheel of their #23 Bentley GT3 car.

Rounding out the podium was the #57 Ferrari 488 from Exiled motorsport. The Ferrari Driven by Pim Van Ark and Chris Gonzales put on a good show battling for the final spot on the podium in the GT3 Category, most notably with the #36 Morabia Rebellion car, who suffered damage near the start of the race when they made contact with the #07 BMW

It was a great event last night, though the teams spread out near the end of the race, there was plenty of action to witness throughout the rest of the race. It truly was a great race to behold, and the beauty of the cars racing at Bahrain during the night made it a wonder to behold for any lover of endurance racing.

The next round is in two weeks and takes place at Paul Riccard, Who has what it takes to win ? stay tuned to find out.
