CFEG is currenly looking for admins to help manage its every expanding player base. We want YOU to join our small but dedicated team, bringing close, competitive racing to our members. As you know, our main focus is on multi-class racing, with the Raceroom Endurance Series and the World Sports Car Challenge flying the CFEG flag as our flagship championship. With the World Sports Car Challenge launched and out of the way (and gathering nice momentum may i add), i thought now would be a good time to write a roadmap so that you are all kept in the loop as to what our ambitions as a group are, along with where we are heading.
Since our birth we have always focused on multi-class endurance events. At first, things were a bit chaotic, using steam as our forum everything seemed to just about hold together, mistakes were made, lessons learnt, however fundamentally we gained close friends with a like minded passion for our type of motorsport.
This is what made us carry on. As organisers we enjoy hearing peoples stories, experiences and most of all how much fun people have when they participate in one of our secure events. As time went on, we went on a steep learning curve. Our first Website, Dedicated Discord channels with roles, Highlight Videos and Live streams. It truly has been a fast paced experience for all involved (in a good way), with no signs of slowing down any time soon.
With this in mind, lets get to the nitty gritty stuff you all clicked on the link for, the future of CFEG. Well, as you can probably guess, it will involve more endurance racing, more classes, with longer and longer race lengths. We truly do want to offer our members the very best when it comes to this category of motorsport. So here is a small roadmap below for you all to indulge yourself in. (of course we dont tell you everything :D )
Raceroom - Season 1 finishes December 2017 - Season 1.5 begins january 2018 - April 2018 (Classes are top secret :P ) - Season 2 - Begins September 2018 - April 2019 (Classes will depend on feedback from season 1.5)
Rfactor2 - WSCC is launched 18th Nov - April 2018 - Feedback + Lessons learnt taken on-board - WSCC Season 2 - September 2018 - April 2019 (changes made to calendar along with hopes to expand length of events, based off feedback from season 1)
iRacing - no plans for 2017 - One off events hosted throughout 2018 to attract iRacing community - Feedback and statistics from one off events will be used to organise new series - Ambitions to launch a multiclass series by end of 2018 and run into 2019
General - Expand on social media with more frequent posts to update + attract members - Expand on our ability to live stream, recruiting dedicated and committed members to our ranks to help provide a good service - Expand the website to create a truly open and friendly community where everyone shares the same passion (Multi-class endurance racing)
As you can see CFEG has BIG ambitions. I truly believe that there is a gap in the market for a Sim-racing group like us. We want to attract the best of each community, so we can all enjoy the sport we all love. Again, CFEG is growing (Faster than we expected), with our sole purpose to offer our members the best multi-class endurance experience possible, we hope you are all excited about the future of CFEG and enjoy racing with us both now and in the many many events to come.
We are always open to feedback, so if you want to suggest anything then feel free to comment below.
Thanks for your time,
